What are some good cigar blends other than Joseph Magnus? I’m going to a tasting at the liquor store this even of a Starlight a cigar blend. I’ve never had one, but they do seem to be gaining some popularity.
Yep, there seems to be stark contrasts from state to state on what is available. I’ve been hearing that production went up at several distilleries, though, and demand has waivered, so there is an expectation of more available bottles.
In some areas, yes. Really depends on your area of the country. I can get it for $24, and really wasn’t referring to that one.
The JD Coy Hill and Wellers aren’t anywhere here except maybe with a Total Wine raffle.. more stuff is starting to show up recently, though

I’ll continue to talk to myself in this thread because @HuskerGarrett is too busy counting stacks from here and TikTok to move this thread… 🤣
I snagged a Maker’s BEP today. Hopefully it is as good as the BRT.
They had Midwinter Night’s Dram and Old Fitz 8 at MSRP today, but unfortunately I am not on a high enough tier to buy. Come June I will be top tier. He said Old Fitz 8 will be on the shelf (non-allocated) next month!
It’s a great one to share with friends that are new to whiskey or don’t like higher proof stuff. Or if you just want something light and smooth with decent flavor every now and again
First pour of Widow Jane 10… not bad at all. After it opened up a bit, it was quite smooth. Caramel, bit of oak and rye spice, decent finish.
Got an OF King Ranch coming Monday that I’m looking forward to.
I had a pour of it to see if I was interested. It’s smooth, melted buttery, butterscotch. A little sweet, yet mellow for my taste, but could be expected at 80 proof
