Somehow found a bottle of Colonel E.H. Taylor for $50 today! Then the guy says, “Oh, we have this 1.75L bottle of Weller for $60…”

My friends and I did a blind taste test a few years ago of like 10 bourbons, including a couple that are in the $200-300 range, and EH Taylor was everyone’s favorite.
It’s one of my favorites for sure

That's two pretty damn good bottles. I still have yet to have that "luck in the wild" all of the bottles I've gotten are usually a raffle or some kind of event like that.

In MO, that is typically what I am stuck with for any rare bottles. All it took today was to register for their frequent buyer group. It cost $0, and affords the opportunity to buy some of the less-common bottles more regularly. Hopefully they get some of the ones I have targeted.

Luckiest I’ve ever been was getting a Rock Hill Farms at a store once. It was by far my favorite bourbon I’ve ever had, and I may never have it again because I’m not paying $300 for a bottle secondhand.

I do grab a Blantons every now and then. A local store at Blantons Gold last month
Regular Blanton's is super meh, but Gold is solid

My personal favorite is either EHT or ECBP of the sub $100 bottles.

But hell, the old Woodford from Costco is pretty drinkable too.
They have come out with some small batch Woodfords in the $70-90 range that I’d like to get my hands on.
