Thanks for posting. I’ve been asking, “do we have any idea how good Dayton is?” because I don’t assume he is a carbon copy of his brother. This gives me some hope he can be a big time player, too. And one we have a shot at.

Unless something goes horribly wrong with Dylan or Donavan here the next 2 years, he’s N.

Dayton looks like Jared Lorenzen in his FR film. I’m not nearly as high on him as Dylan. Still has time to develop, but Dylan’s presence in the pocket and ability to move around to create space is truly elite. Dayton is just a statue chucker right now.

This is his freshman film.

Doesn't look like a statue chucker to me. First play obviously shows that. But 55 seconds and 1:50 also show good pocket awareness to get the ball out early because of pressure in his face. 2:10 is another good example of him getting out of the pocket and throwing on the run.

Sure, 95% of the time it is him stepping back and slinging it. But I'm very impressed with how quickly and accurately he is making reads/decisions. Defense doesn't even have time to get home.

And I dig the Roethlisberger-build! He's 15...he will grow and lose some of that baby fat.
