Dad’s just closed. It’s the only bar I never went to in Kearney. One of my favorites was the backlot on Thursday nights. Penny pitchers and dollar bottles were always great. The place never changed from the day it was open to the day it was closed.

We used to go to the Backlot on Thursday nights for penny pictures too. They used to have a Golden Tee in there too but never saw Frost and Matty D there. Of course, every once and a while you would have to go out there early to see if the stripper was any good. We had a lot of fun there it seemed like a every night of the week one of the bars would have some kind of drink special going.

Worked great for about 5 minutes till the cops noticed and they got popped for MIP.

Cruise Night was probably at its best in the early 2000s to 2010. The cops finally started cracking down sometime after that. The craziest thing I remember was the one and only Kearney Gras which was at the box car. These rednecks called Thunder Collins and Buckhalter the N word and they just kicked the fuck out of them and it was a free for all with women showing their tits and pussies.
