Going a bit off topic here, but I'm not even sure what to think at this point.

I do believe it's mostly a talent (and development) issue, as opposed to poor coaching. That doesn't mean the staff won't have bad days, like every staff in the country for that matter.

If people want heads to roll on the offensive staff, does Tony White get lumped into that conversation? I recall Michigan being disgruntled about Harbaugh and his staff as a whole about 3 years ago.

Haarberg looked like he improved his passing skills a bit. But he's also not a turnover machine. As OP and others know, neither are the long-term answer.

I should acknowledge that coaching is directly linked to development. But I also believe (at least on defense) we've seen the most development in years taking place.

There wasn't development taking place under the previous staff - and many of those players still on the team.

Two fumbles and a pick for Hamburglar. Luckily we recovered the fumbles, but the point is that he's still going to turn over the ball

Well, at least when he fumbles he dives at it and attempts to recover. And when he throws sidearm, and it's tipped by an o-lineman, he gets credited with both a completion and catch. LOL.

Neither are long-term answers. Hamburglar is the tallest midget we have at the moment...or maybe equally as tall as Sims.

I would like to see what Sims could do if given another chance.

What is Simms going to bring? Dude averaged 110 yards & 2 picks against shitty defenses like Colorado & Minnesota. Do we really think Simms would’ve done better than 199 & 1 pick against Michigan? I believe simms is who he is & Haarberg may actually grow. That throw to Marcus Washington, I thought showed some growth already.

That one pick I believed was more on the coaches for choosing the 2nd play of the game to go 5 wide with a limited passer

Colorado and Minny both have much better defenses than NIU and LaTech

I didn’t mention either of those games…199 yards 1int was against Michigan. Colorado & Minny are much much worse defenses than Michigan & haarberg didn’t have 3 TOs

Rhule was pretty critical of HH after the game
Kinda odd considering he still defends Sims
It may be a case of one guy can take criticism & the other can’t
Doing this publicly tho sends a weird message that’s signals preference of one over the other
But I think Sims is done here unless HH gets hurt or completely shits the bed

Really like your last sentence. It was a team effort when it comes to culpability.

It could be Sims is Rhule’s boy. H2 is a leftover from the prior staff. H2 also isn’t going anywhere.

Who’s the former Blackshirt turned clothing designer. That said the locker room/team looked “no juice, no swag” etc etc?

He was definitely on to something. I was in tunnel pregame and that team looked fucking dead inside. Looked like they were go to funeral. Had no clue it was going to be their own.
